F/X Trucking Careers: Driver and Operations Role Guide
Trucking careers include both driving and the operational work that supports freight movement. A useful role search starts with the responsibilities you want to take on and the experience you can demonstrate. This guide describes role types; it does not claim F/X currently has vacancies in every category.
Company-driver roles
Discuss equipment, operating area, reporting location and schedule. Ask which experience and application documents the opening requires. Review compensation and benefit eligibility for that specific role rather than assuming all driving jobs share one package.
Owner-operator opportunities
Clarify who supplies the truck and trailer, which costs you carry and how settlements are calculated. Ask about deductions, equipment requirements and contract conditions. A contractor arrangement should be evaluated as a business commitment, not only as a driving schedule.
Operations and support work
Dispatch, customer coordination, maintenance and safety functions support transportation operations across the industry. If one of these paths interests you, ask F/X whether an appropriate role is available and where to submit an inquiry. Do not assume the recruiting path for drivers also covers every office position.
Translate experience into responsibilities
Use examples of work you performed: communicating a delay, maintaining accurate records or coordinating a handoff. Explain the responsibility and outcome without inventing performance figures. Match those examples to the role's stated requirements.
Find the correct next step
Use F/X's official driver opportunity page for a recruiting discussion and the freight service page to understand the operating context. Confirm the correct application channel and required documents with the team before submitting.
